ARTS Project: Understanding and Supporting Agroecology in Senegal
The Agroecology for Resilient Territories in Senegal (ARTS) project is an ambitious project blending science and art to create a sustainable food future in Senegal. Carried out in partnership with leading institutions, this project seeks to transform our relationship with agriculture and food.
Why It Matters
The environmental and social challenges of Senegal and the Sahel region demand radical solutions. Agroecology can be that solution, transforming our agri-food systems to make them more just, inclusive and sustainable.
Our Objectives
- Research for Action: Identify what drives and blocks agroecology, to plan effective change.
- Build Coalitions: Bring everyone together — from farmer to policymaker — to co-create our food future.
- Shift Perceptions: Use art and storytelling to change how people see agroecology.
